These kids steal the cars to use as transportation around the areas to commit more crimes. It’s not a “chop shop” type operation which would require a higher order of planning. These “kids” have been “car hopping” in Escambia for several years. Two of those pictured I know were arrested just a couple of years ago under similar circumstances. One of the cars which had gone unrecovered was found years later abandoned in a wooded area. These guys are not smart enough to have a plan past the joy of the ride, and hoping the get a few guns from responsible owners.
