I've worked in several of the school clinics for many, many years. When your child is sick, injured or in a lockdown situation, and none has a current phone number to get in touch with you, I can't help but wonder who's fault that really is. No lockdowns back then...just admin and teachers monitoring the hallways daring a kid to do something, lol. If they don't regularly receive the call outs from the Principal, then their info is incorrect because they have not updated it. My wife and I each received phone calls and emails. My husband and I each got two phone calls and two emails. The first explained the school was on heightened security. A few minutes later we were notified the security alert was lifted. Oh!! I know take off in your mode of transportation and head to the school. By time you got there it's over. As for Olivia if your child had a cell phone he can't use it in class. I know your worried about your children but you must trust the school and authorities to take care of their safety. If you can't trust them you need to start home schooling your children immediately.
