@ Concerned, I am sorry but these comments are not what disrespected his family. Steven Godwin disrespected and brought shame to his family. None of the comments are directed at his family so how are they being disrespectful. And the only reason he admitted to guilt was to lessen his sentence. He was first caught then admitted to guilt. That is not a step to rehabilitation, that is self preservation.

@ concerned, I don’t really care about his family or feelings to honest with you or anyone else, he put them in the spotlight, not anyone on here. How bout thinking of the children he contributed to and the abuse they suffered and will continue to suffer. And don’t make him or his family a victim, that blame lays at his feet and no one else’s.

I realize that this man is guilty and what he was very wrong and he for sure needs to face the consequences. The first step in recovery is to admit your guilt. He let the devil overcome his mind and acted on it. But what some of you are putting on comments is really disrespectful to his family. You should all consider what they are going through. You never know,you might be in the same situation as they are one day. God has taught us to forgive. Everyone should be praying that this will change his life for the better and he will come to know God.

I’m glad that I can’t wrap my head around the fascination with child porn. It takes a sick individual to see kids in that way.
If acting on this behavior is uncorrectable, then there are only two options to deal with them.

So he is going away for 9.5 years-punishment for the offense, but he will still be the same individual when he gets out and being imprisoned affords the strong possibility to cultivate this sickness for child pornography even more…..

Really what in the heck is wrong with people! The creep will be back out in 10 years. Nasty freak of nature! Needs to be gone out this world! Innocent little children being caught up in this messed up stuff!
