you folks need to be glad you HAVE a police dept. you could live in century. as for experience, if he has been to all the training required and is a honest person, he will do fine. Flomaton ain’t Mobile.

The city of Flomaton is in great hands if Chance Thompson is now Chief of Police, although I am saddened that Chief Davis will no longer be. Chance has always put the needs of other people before his own. He is one of the most selfless people I’ve ever had the great “chance” of meeting, in a scary situation when he was an EMT. I would trust him with my life, he is more than qualified to do this job and do it well. He is passionate about what he does and gives his entire self to his job and has always put himself last when it comes to doing what’s right by others. I am more than proud to see how far he has come and if anyone deserves this, Chance does. Well wishes for you and your family Chance. I know you can do this, because there is no better person to walk in the shoes of Chief Davis. Congratulations. x

A five year experienced successor may be just as good a twenty year veteran, especially if he is well versed in the law. This seems to be the biggest proplem now days, more and more folks being detained and even arrested unlawfully.
