this is disgusting. these people will probably just get fines and a slap on the wrist. they need to go to jail for awhile and think about it.

OMG… I know right where this is and Sassy was one of my horses that I owned and sold to the gentleman back in 2006i think. I would love to come out and see her!

I, myself, have taken in several like this over the yrs..I always find homes for them once they are improved and I have knowledge of their temperament and behavior, so as to place them accordingly.. Other than the most recent half starved case that I have currently, the last time I took in a pair from Mississippi that was absolutely on deaths door.. I was shocked when they backed off the trailer. More shocked that the biggest one was still standing undr his own power!!! The THANKS I got was 10 days later, Animal control knocking on the door.. It took less than 5 minutes of the tour for the AC to realize the pair were in fact rescued, as the others I have were in excellent condition…even borderline FAT ,and it was the end of November…But I was so disheartened about it that I almost did not take in the 1 that I have now. But the more I thought about. I decided that I would take him, and anymore in the future that need help or homed. I’m NOT gonna stop just bc I’m not a recognized “RESCUE”..!! Horses bring me happiness.. I could not sit down at my table to eat, while looking at a skeleton standing outside, HUNGRY.. If u don’t LOVE them. Don’t get them!!

How disgusting when we see over and over again animals getting abused, children getting abused and the elderly getting abused. There is no excuse for this. Thank you to the good neighbor who did not turn a blind eye and turned the owner(s) in. All neighbors should do the same when they see something like this. Now, lets see how the courts handle this. A slap on the hand is not enough punishment.
