I’m sure many residents that visit Fillingim Landing can relate and will agree that on numerous occasions there have been near drownings of children, adults, and dogs. My family has witnessed several and when we can help we do. I’ve shared the videos on FB to try to raise awareness about the threat of drowning because of its current being so strong. Maybe a couple signs would alert visitors of the swift current especially if the river is up. Just an idea. We appreciate their presence on Perdido River.
