I currently work in a "hostile" (drama and good ol' boy system) work environment ( not the county); even after formal complaints it's not gotten better. So..... . I'm leaving as soon as I can and leave the ignorance behind to the ignorant. Who would come here and work in this county government the way it is currently. She was double dipping and charging different counties for the same job and not telling the other county that the charge had already been paid. She refused to provide documents when requested. Who would want to work for the four county region? Obviously nobody. Maybe change in the approach in how the medical examiner and the office is treated is in order. Good luck with trying to fill the position. It appears that the people who work with and oversee the 1st District ME’s office have created a toxic atmosphere for a chief medical examiner and have been interfering in the ME’s duties and responsibilities. How hassled Dr. Minyard was by two counties and 2. The caseload for the amount of pay. Any person with a brain would not want to come work in a hostile environment created by Escambia County. This is down right laughable that Escambia believes someone will come work here for that low pay. It's funny how this comes full circle for Escambia County Commissioners.
