The day before my birthday 2 Marines showed up on my doorsteps and destroyed me! It’s been almost 2 years since you left me son and it stills feels like the day I was told you were gone. I miss you so much I would give anything to see your smile again and hear you say hey momma when you called me every night. I Love you so much . You were the Sunshine of my life and now there is no joy or happiness just heartache and tears. I pray every day God will take me to you . I Miss You So Much

Goodwin was a brother to me. We might have been in different platoons but we trained together. I remmeber carrying him through a part of the crucible and we just kept pushing each other. We miss you bro. Semper Fi. Bravo Nation.

We send you our deepest condolences during this difficult time. May you find peace in your hearts and keep your memories close. We live in Tustin and were at the bank at the time of this incident. My heart was heavy and as a mother I feel your pain. I prayed for Trace and even though we don’t know him, I looked in the paper everyday to get an update or find his family. We live across the street and today I will light a candle for your son Trace. It saddens me to see a young soul gone too soon. May God Bless you Wendy and your family!

I do not know your son, however we my daughter and I were at the bank during this incident and my heart was heavy. I prayed for him and kept looking in the paper for an update or his family. I am so sorry for your loss. I am also a MoM, my Marine is 19yrs old also. I also read how your Marine from a vey young age wanted to be in the Military. That was my son also.
Please, know my family has your family in our daily prayers. Also remember, you have a lot of MoMs here for you if you need anything.

Semper Fi and Rest Easy, Marine! Though I didn’t know you personally, we shared that same band of brotherhood that every Marine shares. Ms. Wendy, I am so sorry for your loss. We just lost our son 11 months ago. We, and unfortunately many others in the area, share your burden.
