Lived out here since the early 70’s, and maybe Homeowner is exaggerating, but there are a LOT of wrecks on this road, always have been. Heck, I rolled my truck one evening back in the late 80s just past River Annex.

I’ve been on the scene of 2 fatal crashes out here, and more than a few cars have ended up in our woods.

So, maybe not 10x the reported wrecks, but the combination of speed, curves, hills, poor driving skills and (sometimes) alcohol does make it an interesting road to live on.

I think Homeowner is exaggerating. I’ve lived on Jachs branch for 30yrs. Granted people do speed on Jack’s branch but there have not been as many accidents as she makes out. I get the feeling some people like to cry wolf.

Has anyone else ever thought that this road has more accidents than most? A lot of them don’t get reported. So multiple the ones you read about X 10! It’s absolutely HORRIBLE! After reading this… I just thought…Is this road CURSED? I’m not one to believe in this type thing BUT… I do KNOW one thing these people FLY down this road! Speed limit is 45 & most people do at least 60 or MORE! You add the bends, curves AND dips, you’ve got yourself a FATAL WRECK coming! I wish something could be done to deter people from speeding on this road but I don’t see any fix. It’s VERY SAD! People will continue to die on this SUPER DANGEROUS road!
