What if it was actually Wilson who didn't take the necessary precautions to allow Jenkins to see him? Maybe wear a reflective vest or if you're going to cross the road use a pedestrian crosswalk. How about ending your post with "it is unclear WHY Wilson did not appear to take any responsibility for his personal safety?" I travel that highway often and people wear dark clothing and walk close to roadway or on it. I have almost hit people several times because of this. Don't see them until your right on top of them. I am surprised this type of accident hasn't happened more. Praying for the family of both. @Rodney,

Was the pedestrian using a marked crossing section of the road? Using "poor lighting" as a reason for this horrible accident is a problem because it shifts responsibility.
