JT let’s not give the Governor the crown so early in his term. Other cuts to programs state wide may change lives as near Century Blvd. 2.1 million could have ceeated jobs and even save at least one life. So we need to know what was approved and more important in other counties. Maybe a new golf course or lower tax on cigars.

He suspended funding on West Cervantes Street. Apparently he doesn’t realize that The Panhandle is a part of Florida. Could it be he’s not interested in the voters on this end or he’s ignorant to what’s really going on in Escambia County.

@SW, Tabby & Paul, why are you upset over what the Gov. cut from the budget? It doesn’t affect the north end of the county in any way. In fact, he’s saving we, the taxpayers, money instead of spending it.

I am glad we have a Governor that doesn’t rubber stamp our spending into oblivion. Yes he cut the spending on two projects in the area, but how many were funded? I think Desantis has used a more common sense approach to governing Florida. I feel like he has crossed party lines on numerous important issues instead of serving only the republican side of the isle. I think he has been the best Governor we have had in a while.

I’m in Molino and I’d vote for that. There’d have to be a mandatory, unable to revise, amend, or alter in any way, population cap.

The northern halves of NW FL counties should secede from FL and either join AL or form our own state. Between farming and oil, we’d be ok.
Even our BOCC forgets that there is life north of Molino.
