So glad to see the best disputable in Pensacola FINALLY move to a more accessible location.

A new location for Baptist Health Care is so good for our community.
They do so much for the area that is good.

Well we will never get the explanation as to exactly how this spot was chosen. This was geographically the worst place it could be built. Records indicate that expansion and growth are substantial to the west and north and they buy land 1 mile from an existing hospital. Unbelievable

To those who live on the west side, repost when you have a real beef. Try living in Brewton and have to drive to the towers

To rh:
NP and PA’s complete YEARS of training to earn their credentials that you are saying you don’t want to take care of you.

Did you know that to earn a NP credential you must first complete 2 years of nursing school (ADN or BSN) then take the NCLEX exam to be a licensed RN?

To earn your NP credentials you go back for another 12-24 months of graduate schooling and clinical practice then taken another national board exam.

To hold the credentials of PA you must have a bachelors degree. Then you go back to school another 3 years of which you spend 12-18 months in theory classes and labs and 12 months of clinical rotations and than a national exam. Oh and they have to pass this exam every 10 years or so, just like a MD to keep your license.

I personally love the care that NP’’s and PA’s provide. Did you know that nurses are the most trusted profession in our country. Both PA and NP are valuable members of the health care team.

I am confident that Baptist made their decision after looking at all possible options before choosing this location to build Is it close to SHH? Yes. Is it next to I-110? Yes and it will certainly be faster and easier to get to then its current location.

In case you are wondering, no I am not an RN, NP, PA or MD, but I know many who are and I respect all that it takes to become one. I never under estimate their commitment, education, knowledge or their ability to care or me and all other patients.

Just further away for those of us who live on the Southside of Pensacola. Hopefully they will not move the towers. There are alot of older people who choose this as their hospital for the ease of access.

I see the parking lot is also larger. However, it doesnt look large enough to hold hospital staff and visitors. Might as well ad a a parking garage from the get go.

Escambia County and the Panhandle are extremely fortunate to have three fine hospital systems--Baptist, Sacred Heart, and West Florida. This new construction/expansion will allow Baptist to offer even better services to its patients.
