@atmoredude and @BobC Regarding the choice of name by his parents, one of my children went to elementary school with him. The family is related to ‘The’ Ralph Waldo Emerson, so it wasn’t meant as a cruel joke on their son, but a passed down family name.

It’s sad to see such a young person choose the path he has. Prayers for him to turn his life around, for his family who must surely be troubled and hurting over this, and for the family and friends of the victim to find comfort and strength.

Agree with you, makes me think of the Johnny Cash song, “A boy named Sue”.
Parents should give some real thought into kids names and their initials.
On the flip side are the “Alphabet” named kids as the old Drill Sgt used to call some.

Just released from a 5-yeat prison sentence on 3/21/19 to begin his 2-years of Community Control set to expire in March 2021. I’m taking it that he wanted a return trip to the State Prison to get some additional tattoo’s….. SMH
