@Stumpknocker Yes, I realize that… just saying, they deployed the TASER first… even though the officer could have had his gun trained on him instead. Obviously, if he was able to hit him with the taser, he could have shot him. Then, when dude fired shots, the officers returned fire, but instead of making SURE they shot him 20 times, they quit when they could take him into custody. I just think it is an example of restraint by the officers at a danger to themselves, in order to protect his life, even though they would have been well within their rights to shoot him.

My comment was, these stories should make the national news as well, to counterbalance the ones where it goes the other way, and everyone gets all protesty and stuff…

Kudos to the deputies! Great job! See, this kind of story never makes the national news like it does when it has a different outcome… the po-po would have had every right to draw down on him and blow him away when he didn’t release the gun and then fired shots… the MSM should play these stories instead of all the ones where the perp manages to get himself shot.

Two years and this parasite hasn’t been sentenced after being identified in the bank and then shooting at the officers, How much more evidence do you need? A jury shouldn’t be needed in this kind of case. Hang a few of these thugs and crime will come decrease.
