When I called they said the driver puts a tag in the can saying non recycle products in it we never got a tag I asked what we where putting in the recycle that wasn't supposed to be in it they could not tell me.I asked doesn't the driver keep some kind of log.this place has the worst customer service ive ever seen and when I called them out on there sorry attitudes they were like we take pride in our job.hahaha they don't care because they know we don't have any other options.so now I'm being punished by taking my can and I throw all my recycling in the garbage.I'm still waiting on a phone call back it's been over 3 weeks. Great service that we pay for every month. Give me a break! I live alone so I didn't want the service to start with but then I was threatened with a $1000 fine if I didn't use the service WTH? ECUA is owned by the State of Florida and is and has been responsible for home collection of recycle material and trash. Escambia County has no pick up service. ECUA negotiated with the county to locate their recycle facility on landfill property. That is the extent of the the involvement of Escambia County. You pay to bring your own stuff and trash to Perdido Landfill, BUT, your Waste Services does offer some awesome free services so check them out, but no pick up service. Good or bad Emerald Coast Utilities Authority offers most of the pick ups for Escambia County and Santa Rosa County. Escambia County and ECUA are two separate businesses.
