Maybe someone should consider how much has been done in the northern part of the county. Including a new Bridge on Pineville Rd, 2 on Arthur Brown, 2 on 97A and 1 on Nokomis + many others.
Not to mention all the dirt road paving.
Look around.

Your are very correct Pineville. Northern citizens have been blatantly ignored and the Commissioners are guilty of poor planning and Navy Fed comes along and we aren’t ready structurally and that results in frenzied building without regard for our beloved environment in or area. North Escambia will suffer may trials as our southern counterparts relish in the improvements they reap from the all mighty dollars generated by the influx of thousands of Navy Fed employees moving here. The turnover rate there is unstable. It’s not that great to work there,it’s not for everybody. And it’s ridiculous what’s happened to this area in the last 5 years. We have no other businesses to support all this if the big ones leave. That leaves many
areas open to crime, drug areas snd other issues!

$15,000,000 from the County went to help Singapore owned ST Aerospace expansion at the airport. We aren’t prioritizing public safety and infrastructure above other endeavors. Economic Development funding should come after the core duties of government.

I am seriously hoping that the Beulah/I-10/Hwy 29 project stays away…. as we dont want to see the expressway in our backyard!

Your gas tax is spent to run empty busses. We could drop the 8 routes with 8 or fewer riders per hour and save $4.5 million/year for bridges. Look at that list and see where you would spent $4.5 million a year instead of kissing up to the bus drivers union?

Here is another way to look at it: For what we spent on the VT MAE debacle, we could do everything on that list down to #20. For what we give to Florida West each year ($550K) we could knock out a couple of these smaller ones each year! We don’t have a lack of tax revenue. Your Commission has a set of priorities that does not match yours.

I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT OUR GAS TAX WAS FOR??????????
MY MISTAKE THEY USED IT FOR OTHER THINGS.
