I agree in concept with Don, other than the fact I might raise the bridge a bit to reduce time when it is flooded. Don't really know, though, that concrete would be that much more expensive than wood and do know concrete doesn't rot or burn.

I've never gotten involved in it, but I'd like to see a sort of suspension bridge with steel strapping stretched tight several hundred feet beyond each entrance and then set in concrete. Not overhead suspension, but the roadbed/bridge itself just being one tight stretch. If it would work well, though, some engineer would probably have done it already.

How long will it really take to finish this project. Personally I am glad to see this county fixing all these old bridges in the north end it's also nice to know that we are not forgot about up here either plus it also puts people to work by creating jobs this is just my opinion but I think we live in a pretty good county and yes we have our down falls but over all I think we (the county) do fairly good

My hunting club is adjacent to this bridge. There may be 20 vehicles a day cross it. I'd say just replace it as is. It's lasted many years.

Just to design? Buy the timber and rebuild it exactly like it's built now. That bridge has lasted a long time.
