Cheaper than ye olde suspended blinking red light above the intersection, down lower at the line of sight, makes sense. Like some said nothing beats keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.

This is ACTUALLY a good idea….although, each one may also need a camera. Now, the drunks/teenagers will actually have lights for target practice, not just signs.

Another great Idea, I saw in Mexico. When green, all traffic lights blink 3 times to warn you before turning yellow. Insteadd of “straight to yellow means floor it!”

I saw a woman last weekend sitting through a whole green light while texting. I don’t know if it would help someone like that, so absorbed in their phone. Whiting Field recently installed some of these, but I think that theirs have blinking yellow LED outer lights. These in the photos appear to be red.

Must be a lot older than I am. We would hear squeals followed by thumps and know someone else just died at Bluff Springs Crossroads. We would run down to try to save anyone still alive.

With that in mind, I would like two at Bluff Springs Crossroads, please.

Cars, trucks, all vehicles are deadly weapons =
They can kill, maim, and cause costly expenses when used carelessly.

If you take your eyes and attention away from the road and other traffic for more than a second you have no respect for the consaquinces.
The prevalent single vehicle wreaks are raising the insurances for all the rest regardless of them being safe drivers.

There is no (NONE), excuse ever for driving faster than you can see to stop in time under any and all conditions.
That especially includes fog!

Complain about the conditions of our roads?
Those of us that grew up and started driving on roads in North FL and South AL were driving on horrible paved and dirt roads, and there were practicly no wrecks then. We learned that you had to pay attention to your driving regardless of anything else. It is not the roads or signage that cause wrecks.

People get all excited about almost non existant causes of mayhem, but give a pass to the main cause of death, injury and expense.

Other drivers are what I fear every time I leave home driving on Hwy 97.

I install stop signs every day and believe me it won’t make a diffrence. People run over them every day. Cell phones,being in a hurry and just the inability to drive. Let’s not mention alcohol and drugs. These are the reasons. We the people should be able to drive with just the bare minimum of signs. But it just isn’t the truth.
