OK I READ ALL THE COMMENTS , BUT I REALLY HAVE TO SAY THIS : HE MAY BE A GOOD PERSON, HAS A FAMILY AND LOTS OF FRIENDS WHO LOVE AND CARE ABOUT HIM, MY QUESTION TO THAT IS, ” IF YALL LOVE N CARE ABOUT HIM SO MUCH, WHY DIDNT ANYONE STOP HIM FROM HANGING AROUND THE WRONG PERSON AND GET HIM THE HELP THAT SOME ARE SAYING HE NEEDS?” OK NOW, HANGING AROUND THE WRONG GUY, WAS THAT WRONG GUY DRIVING THAT VEHICLE WHEN THE HIT N RUN OCCURRED OR WAS IT THIS GUY THAT FINALLY GOT CAUGHT THAT EVERYONE CARES ABOUT? NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE, MAKING SURE THATS CLEAR.. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FAMILY OF THE PERSON THAT GOT HIT BY THE VEHEICLE THAT HE WAS DRIVING? I THINK HE SHOULD PAY FOR HIS CRIMES, HE IS NO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE.. DO THE CRIME, DO THE TIME… JUST MY OPINION, N NOTHING MORE! JUST SAYIN…. HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

So I have a question… When did accountability become the improper method of addressing wrong doing for SOME? At age 27, no person can blame any other person for their decisions. If he did not KNOW what he did was wrong, he would not have run… ditched the gun… STILL be running.

Flag on the play… illegal motion, 10 to 25 year penalty, then repeat 2nd down. It is the very design of team sports that taught us we have chances and opportunities. If we miss our opportunities to succeed, we must then endure the wait period, often consisting of punitive setback, but as long as time has not run out in the game, we will get a brand new opportunity, consisting of another set of chances… and guess what… as long as he’s on the field of play, he gets the SAME opportunities as everyone else and must play by the SAME rules as everyone else, regardless of who has coached him, where he graduated from, what his last name is, NOTHING keeps him, or you, or me from being governed by the SAME RULES.

Oh good grief. These comments are nauseating. If some of you care so much about him, go pick him up and turn him into law enforcement and let him FACE THE MUSIC, for the crimes HE HAS COMMITTED! He is a grown butt man, not a toddler! This is the kind of “emotion before brains” that has caused our legal system to be the laughing stock of the universe, caused our LEO turnover rate to soar, and inflated the Attorney incomes to the highest levels ever. If you’d let the good guys do their job, and quit feeling sorry for “poor little johnny” because he can’t control himself, we’d be in a much better place as a nation! My best advice to this guy: Turn yourself in. It may save your life.

To those of you that keep saying he is a good guy caught up in a bad situation..at what point do we hold this 27 y/o accountable for his own acts and stop blaming others for his actions?

He left a woman and a child injured in a car after he hit them. That was of his own doing. The accident and the leaving the scene of the accident. Obviously he didn’t learn anything from that and now you want us to believe he is a good guy who bad things happen to? The good people are the victims of his crimes and you should be ashamed of yourself for defending such a creep.

Good guys don’t break laws by carrying guns you aren’t legally able to possess. Good guys don’t steal vehicles and run from the police. Stop making up excuses to defend bad people and their actions. Eventually the bad guys will have to accept responsibility for their own actions.

Funny how the leo’s are turned into the bad guys some how by some commenters of this post. So the good guys are bad for doing their jobs but now how some think they should and the bad guy who did everything wrong is the good guy? What a warped world we live in today.

I think everyone has their own way of looking at this but if you don’t know someone of course your gonna directly say he’s a bad person but we know him and he’s not a bad person just made some bad decisions. Now can you look deep inside your person and truly say every decision you’ve ever made was a good one that you’ve never made or even thought of something bad . We are all human and we are all God’s children. People make mistakes and some will never learn and some will that’s their choice . The choices you make have consequences whether bad or good we can pray for Colby instead of bashing him he’s a good person like I said just made some bad choices .

@David Kite. Aiding and abetting is prison time if you’re caught! You breaking the law won’t help his case…only hurt your family. As being with the wrong person as others have commented, he has a mind and will of his own and he can use it to become a better person. It’s sad he doesn’t.

Good person what? Good people don’t have a criminal history that is 16 years long, look him up yourselfs. And those that want to help him, if he makes a victim out of don’t waste my tax dollars calling law enforcement, just smile and go about your business. People on N.E seem to forget about the victims these criminals leave behind, you the victims have loved ones to, and I can promise you this when it comes time for me to be separated from my family and friends it will not be by hands of a criminal.
