Most of the employees that work there are new and dont have the repor with the inmates as tough or....anything. they are totally green. If they paid more then maybe people would stay. If you actually do the job, the right way, you can and will be sued by the inmates and will be prosecuted. If a inmate assaults you, he is given a discipline report, or nothing. If you defend yourself, you will be arrested. It's not the prison, it's the flu legislation that makes these impossible rules that will and have contributed to the death of Officers The State of Florida has made doing the job of a correction officer impossible. What happened to controlling the bad guys. This stuff did not happen 5 or 6 years ago when the old guard was there. The state needs to hire some help or get some new bosses before one of these thugs gets loose and kills someones kid or something.
