She was the last of my dad &amp; her brother Travis Silcox of those six siblings.But the Silcox family came to Fla. in 1783 &amp; got a Spanish Land Grant . As 4th GP John Silcox was a British Torrie &amp; East Fla.had many Brits there.Family married Spanish &amp; Native women.When GP John got land grant he changed spelling of name from Silcocks to Silcox He was born in N.J. in1754.His wife was a Cherokee-metis Amelia Cordery.From this sprung the ranging Silcox clan.</description>
