The deadline to register in person - in most cases - was 5pm on Tuesday. You could still register online until midnight. If anything, a few offices in the affected areas may have closed earlier than planned on Tuesday. With these organization saying they need another week, I guess they havent finished visiting the local cemeteries to register more Democrats.

Im sure the courts will agree to give them an extra week just like they did for the 2016 election. Goodness, these folks had up to July 29th to register for the Primary election and then they had from August 29th till October 9th to register for the General election. Surely, that was plenty of time for those truly wishing to vote to get themselves registered without having to extend the deadline by another week.
