Not true. The millage rate has been the same for six years now. Since they did not decrease it to the rollback rate, that is a tax increase each and every year

People are actually complaining about this?
This is the first property tax increase in this county in four years. In the previous three years the property tax actually went DOWN, each year. Please do a little research before you take to the internet with your unfounded complaints.

WHY DOES THE SHERIFF GET PART OF THE BUDGET AND A MSUB???????
PEOPLE NEED TO READ AMENDMENTS ON THE BALLOT AND JUST GO BY WHAT THEY SEE AND HER ON TV, THERE ARE THING STUCK ON THE END THAT YOU MAY NOT WANT.

For anyone who can’t afford property tax increases I have a great idea. Let’s show the commisioners we won’t stand this by refusing to pay. But first give me your addreas before the yearly property tax rolls comes out. I will take care of it for you my friend.

Tax Increases are of no surprise.
The State keeps cutting taxes to Big Business and other interests so less $$$ coming from them.
The State provides $$$ and services to the Counties and when the State $$$ is less there has to be an increase in Local Property Taxes.
Fuss if you wish, I enjoy decent roads, Fire-Sheriff-EMT protections and other things that we too often take for advantage. All of that takes $$$ and has to come from someplace, that “someplace” is always the citizens in one form or another.
No problems with this.
