Looking back at those moments, those times meant a lot to me. I think those Bible waving road preachers really meant what they were saying. They probably did not have Doctor of Divinity Degrees, and many of them probably had another daytime job, maybe a carpenter. They had the Spirit of the Lord, and knew how to express their feelings. My Dad always said their sermons might have been the last vestige of hope some of those souls might have. In the recent book, and movie, "Unbroken," the true story of Louie Zamperini, Olympic star, WW II veteran, POW, and his" story of survival, resilience, and redemption," in a revival tent led by a young Billy Graham brought back many memories of saw dust and sweaty nights. You never see large tent revivals anymore. I'll be there as will my children. Neither my 18 or 15 year old have even seen a tent revival.
