The Democratic nominee in Florida’s gubernatorial race, Andrew Gillum, failed to dismiss rumors that he is the “anti-police” candidate after saying that law enforcement officers go “too far” whenever they draw their weapons.

Speaking on the podcast “Pod Save America,” Gillum said he’s not “anti-police” but rather for “police accountability,” The Washington Free Beacon reported.

"Law enforcement society cannot work and, quite frankly, law enforcement cannot do its job if it does not have a trusting relationship with the community," Gillum said.

"At the time that a law enforcement official has to go to a weapon, to a gun, to a baton, to a Taser," then they've already gone "too far by their very presence," he added, according to The Beacon.

I guess we'll just show up at domestic incidents and every possible violent event, predict the future and talk it out with all the lovely and so very innocent felons here in Florida. They forgot to tell us we can see the future in police academy... New Gillum campaign slogan "Disarm Law Enforcement" or "Give Florida to the criminals". I wonder if the families of all the murdered cops in Florida recently agree with this statement. How bout the 50 murdered victims at Pulse, the school shootings, the list is endless. Clearly, cops are the bad guys right?

I agree with Citizen about bundling proposals. That, to me, is a crime against the people the law makers are supposed to serve. So very very wrong. If people in Florida do not want to be led by someone who thinks like a Marxist, they need to vote for a Republican. The Democratic Party has been almost totally infiltrated by those of Marxist thought. They are trying to destroy the America that was established by our founders.I hope those that are ignorant of such things will try to educate themselves on this subject before the election and quit believing the lies they have been programmed to believe from main stream media, tv, radio and movies, and others who have been brainwashed like themselves.

VOTE NO on any and every amendment that bundles multiple proposals (which is almost all of them).

These proposals are often times unrelated and while you might agree with one of them, the others that are bundled along with it will usually diminish your individual rights and increase the power of government…and that’s not good.

These bundled, unrelated proposals are just a sneaky way for legislators to get over on us. They couple a bunch of BS with something you agree with in order to get their BS passed. They wouldn’t bundle them if they thought they’d pass on their own merit.

Again I urge you to VOTE NO on any and every amendment that has more than one proposal (which is almost all of them).

As a citizen who's been paying close attention to political goings-on for years, I want everyone to know this-
Every single "attack ad" put out by Florida's Republican candidates is either outright dishonest or twists facts to try and SCARE YOU INTO VOTING FOR THEM.
Ron DeSantis claims 'Dream Defenders' is some sort ot "radical" organization, but their focus is on supporting programs to keep kids in school and out of prison!
He claims that solely because Andrew Gillum and a lobbyist to the Tallahassee CRA are friends since college that every interaction they've had since Gillum became Mayor had some nefarious intent,. That's assigning guilt by association. Mayor Gillum has, in fact, released all the info requested by the FBI without resistance, unlike President Trump who is still fighting the investigation focusing on how Russians meddled in the 2016 election.
This includes Rick Scott blaming Senator Nelson for ads that his campaign did not pay for--the ads clearly state in large print right on your TV screen that VoteVets.org did that. The fact that our Senator earned millions over his long career should come as no suprise- add up decades of income from public service.
Do these Republican campaign officials believe we're stupid?
If Republicans have actual plans that will help folks like you and me, What Are They?
