I see people run this stop sign all the time on my way to work and I’ve been going that way since 2002. Hate to say it but maybe it is time for a traffic signal.

All of these projects in Beulah/9mile/Hwy29/297A are late by several years and is only progressing because of Navy Federal. That is just a fact and the way it is. Having said that though, if you ask 1,000 informed people if there should be an interchange to Navy Federal and Interstate, so that traffic would not be on these smaller county roads, 10, 999 would use their common sense and say, “Yes,we need one now, not 5 or 10 years from now.” We know if this were Dade or Brevard County, no questions ask, it would be put in tomorrow.

So why isn’t it being funded and started?

This whole intersection is a big waste of money. The 4way stop was more than efficient. I live 100ft from the intersection. The pedestrian crosswalk is a joke. This is over a mile from the schools no children walk across this road. Just wait it will cause a big traffic back up on both Kingsfield and 297a.

Took me 30 minutes to get from Pine Forest Road and 9 1/2 Mile Road to the interstate this morning, leaving at 7:10. Unreal. Planning and Zoning people aren’t thinking of traffic when they allow all of these neighborhoods to be developed with bad roadways. How long have they know Navy Federal was in the works? Nine Mile Road should have been four lanes 20 years ago!

This isn’t related to the crash but this intersection should have been completed prior to the schools opening on Kingsfield. And what did anyone expect with every major North/south east/west artery congested to a standstill with construction at the same time, dead ends like pine forest at Roberts rd., navy federal’s growth, and new schools. People are getting desperate and taking any road possible including our neighborhoods plowing down our residents and crashing into houses. Welcome to the Wild West!

Why was this work not completed during the summer months while school was out so this could have been avoided? They knew when school was going to start. Poor planning.

people are always in a hurry.when construction is in site people should pay attention.theres men out there that have familes and wants to go home at the end of the day.i never seen so many wrecks going on around here an the north end.

..google maps are routing traffic from PNS northbound to I-10 and Pine Forest to 297 north to Muscogee rd and US 29 north..all summer , with tourist returning home from the beaches due to construction on US 29..With the new school on Kingsfield , we all have to drive with more caution…the traffic light there will help when installed…
