Will we ever learn and make our government provide the funds needed to make school supplies available at the schools. This was standard when I was in school and it worked. Today, teachers are buying many of those supplies out of their own meager salary. That should be stopped.
Years ago the voters made the lottery available to augment the money provided to the schools. They greedy representatives immediately reduced what the state was providing to schools so the lottery no longer augmented the available money, but simply replaced what the representatives removed. The only thing that benefited from the lottery was the representatives "pork projects." Disgusting.
