The folks paying ten bucks a gallon do not have the world's largest known energy sources. America is producing oil and gas at record numbers as the supply has grown many fold over pre fracking days, yet as the world economy heats up, world consumption heats up and that demand causes prices to go up in a global economy. I am happy that the gas prices are going up because that will make electric cars more valuable and with more low MPG cars on American roads the demand will fall. It used to be twenty years ago Panhandle prices were about the same as KY, TN, and Al, but something changed in those twenty years and we are always higher than those other states.

Americans pay a lot less for gasoline than many nations overseas. Tired of hearing people complain about gas when some nations are paying around 10 bucks.
