Take a good look at the collapsed portion, but for the grace of God go we. Residents of North Escambia, do your research on the DOT website and look up the scores on our bridges, especially in the North End - Quintette bridge is the worst by far and more heavily traveled than ever since all the major road construction to ready District 5 roads for the new Beaulah Beltway in order to ease congestion caused by our neighbor 10 miles to the south who has basically strip mined 9 Mile Road to the State line. Perdido River will be a thing of the past once all the runoff from the CU and all the new subdivisions going up. District 5 is on a fast track to major flooding, water runoff which will pollute our beloved Perdido River, not near enough escape routes should a major hurricane hit here, and you could go on and on. And where are our parks for our kids up here? Where are our sidewalks, and all the other great things I see in other parts of the county, of which, we are the biggest in area?

Wish you could have gotten a picture of the part that broke and its location on the form. Seems strange that one part breaking loose caused it.
I seen a lot of concrete work done and they not to easy on tools... Inspection of the forms and tools to prevent this should be done every time they break a form down to use again. Takes just a few hours to do and save millions.

Great photos. There are major newspapers all across America that do not have this quality of photo journalism. I sometimes learn so much from these quality photos that go beyond the story. A big thumbs up!

Will the contractor make a profit after the two collapses? Will the bridge be safe?
