When you make the comparison to many liberal states that can’t meet their obligations, give me some more of Scott, and those like him

The ones usually crying about the rich getting richer are the ones that didn’t graduate high school and expect the government to take care of them. Why don’t they just pick themselves up by the bootstraps, work hard, and not concern themselves with everyone else. And FYI, Florida energy utilities are regulated by the FPSC and have to request permission to not only increase rates, but also decrease rates; however, the news does not usually report the decreases.

Seeing that Gov Scott and his wife own a ton of stock in NextEra, you can guarantee the rates are going up so the rich can keep getting richer.

The reality is they will raise rates probably not at first but they won’t go past a year or two before they’ll ask the state to raise the rates. They have to pay for what they bought. Unless they are going to build a nuclear power plant to provide us power we will never see that much of a cost reduction.

Actually Next Era CEO James Robo stated that he wants to reduce rates by $30/month (1,000 kwh). I’m not sure why everyone complaines about the bills now. Electricity costs money. If your thermostat was not set at 68 degrees and every room in your house did not have the lights on, your bill might not be that high.

Sensible move as electric power providers move away from coal, wood and imported peat from overseas to generate steam which runs their generators that make electricity for industrial, business and homeowner uses.

Guessing the next thing will be that we will be having to pay for the air we breathe.

yep, that’s the company that is gonna be raising our rates here in few months. i would like to be more descriptive, but i know very well not to be.
