I just read the obit of Jean Jernigan & what a spunky, smart & sweet lady she was! I am one of the past owners of the Diner that she owned & she was one of the first customers that came to wish us well. She became a regular & I will always treasure her visits. I wish I had known about Jean’s passing so I could have paid my respects. My thoughts are with her daughter & other family members this morning. RIP my amazing friend.....

I met Jean when we had a community widows group always in a hurry in that old truck. She never failed to greet everybody but most o the time we had to repeat everything due to her deafness. She sent me a Christmas and birthday card every year until this last year. She was one spunky "senior"lady! I'm glad I got to know her.
