First criticizing Putnam for a terminated employees actions is ridiculous. If the agency hadn't fired them then I would be critical. The second issue is that the pay for state employees is so low you only get the bottom of the barrel most of the time. I see it every day. One can make an argument that we need smaller government and I would agree but what we need most of all is good government and you don't get that by paying your foot soldiers fast food wages.
