@Shaniece, I never said the victim deserved being shot nor did I ever insinuate they weren’t law abiding. If you go back and read what I wrote you’ll see that it must’ve been someone who became upset by possibly something the victim said or did. Just because you’re law abiding and follow all the rules doesn’t mean everyone else does. I can assure you, it doesn’t take a lot nowadays to get somebody upset enough to whip out a gun. There’s crazies everywhere.

Update: Additional information released Wednesday following investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office did not indicate that the victim opened the door as information provided by the ECSO Tuesday night stated.

@W.W. the door was not opened. The shot was fired through a CLOSED door! And as far as safe….tell me where is it safe anymore? @ Joe Chill way to get offended for no obvious reason? I have every reason to be offended being that I live next door and that random act could have been my house instead of my Godparents home(the gentleman that was shots home) so if it was my home would people be saying it has to be more to the story to a home where we work and obey laws no criminal involvement? So yes VERY offended

@Shaneice, maybe KK simply means there’s more to the story. As in there might just be some history between the shooter and the victim. Maybe the law abiding victim cut said shooter off in traffic and the shooter followed them home. Maybe the victim yelled at the shooter back when he was 5 to get off their lawn and the shooter never let it go. That’s what KK probably means. Way to get offended for no obvious reason.

Shaneice I don’t think they meant that the victim did something illegal. It does seem strange that someone just walked up to the door and shot him. Did he have issues with someone. It could be something as dumb as yelling at someone for driving too fast past his home. It could be just something random but not likely. That’s all that I think was being said. People these days will shoot someone over anything but there’s still usually always a trigger situation that sets them off. I hope they find who did this and send prayers for a speedy recovery for the gentleman shot.

Example: several months back… a cantonment man was inexplicably attacked in his home by an unknown bat weilding intruder… fast forward to Mayans the man that got attacked is arrested for child molestation… more to the story…
Not saying that’s what’s going on here. Just that there’s always more.

So the alleged shooter just randomly picked this house out of all the other ones on the street. Sounds very fishy to me.

KK-they do when they have nothing better to do or if it’s gang initiation. I don’t know if I’d rather this be a random act or if someone he knew. If it’s random, our part of the county is going to be terrifying. LOCK AND LOAD!
