Some have even committed crimes in order to get into "the System" for care of chronic health problems, diabetes, cancers, heart problems, the list is like any of the rest of us may have. Incarcerated persons have access to medical care and attention. We the People through our taxes, federal, state, local pay those costs. Many law abiding, tax paying, hard working citizens do not have the same access to care and facilities for their health assistance and monitoring. All that said, it is a true loss this man and others did not do something more positive with their lives. Many inmates come to our Florida Prisons and Jails already having chronic health problems due to their lifestyles or other long term medical issues.
Some have even committed crimes in order to get into “the System” for care of chronic health problems, diabetes, cancers, heart problems, the list is like any of the rest of us may have.
