Free. Not costing anything. One of the most misused words in today’s vocabulary.

One of my favorite sitcom episodes was a young lady getting her first job and paycheck, only to open it and ask, “Who is the FICA person and why are they getting part of my money”.

Someone, somewhere, is going to pay. When you are on the receiving end of Free, it is a wonderful thing. But you might want to think of what happens when you get on the other end.

The final question one might ask is why would someone spend millions of dollars of their own money campaigning to win a job that pays $250k/year? Doesn’t matter what party they are from. I am guessing there is a payback somewhere along the way, and I am doubtful it’s just about feeling good and helping others.
