People use it for a cut thorough between highway 29 and Interstate 10. Very dangerous to drive on.They spend millions on other districts and almost nothing out here. The road does not move as you drive, it’s the driver’s mistakes that cause accidents. And believe me there’s many drivers on the road at any given time that are accidents looking fo a place to happen and some of them find that opportunity. I had to swerve to keep from being hit by her. Thankfully, we were at a place where there is not a deep ditch. Yes, the road is narrow. And, no, people are not paying attention to their driving like they should. Too many distractions. We do pray this lady makes a full recovery. I've been driving that road for decades and never driven off the side, off the road or had any problems at all. I would guess distracted driving had a lot to do with this(any many/most other accidents) Pay attention to the task of driving and 99.99% of the time you'll be fine and every else on the road will benefit as well. why do you need a bigger shoulder? It's a well traveled road not only by cars, small trucks, suv's and so forth, it's also used by dump trucks and other large commercial vehicles, which by the way, I'm not blaming. It's a narrow road with no where to go, should someone gets to close to the dividing line, or even comes over a bit into your lane. THAT ROAD NEEDS A SHOULDER ON IT. The speed limit is 45. But you as well as I know that a lot of people don't obey that limit. I've had people go around me, like I'm standing still. Like I said, that road needs a shoulder, and people need to play especially careful attention to their driving on that stretch of road. Praying this lady will recover.
