I find it hard to believe that the crime rate is down. When Officers author a report they have a box that has to be checked and can be changed by someone within the agency that has administrative authority. For example, the incident may be a Burglary by F.S.S. but its changed to a theft. The definition of Burglary is the unlawful entry of almost any structure with intent to commit a crime, especially theft. This is what is reported to FDLE, a misdemeanor theft instead of a felony Burglary. This can be done many ways in other crimes. There are multiple S/O's and PD's throughout the State that have done to show a reduction of crime. Don't be fooled by Sheriff Morgan and his administrative staff as to what heights they will go to mask the truth. Please understand, FDLE can only report was is reported by ECSO.
