COME ON! common sense tells you that raising or lowering the age limit for purchasing guns will not stop there copy cat shooters.
Most of these shooters have taken legal family members guns to do their dastardly acts. Even banning all guns will only mean that the guns will be purchased illegally.
Speed limits don’t stop one from speeding, nor does any other law stop anyone from doing it either
Making schools more secure is the best answer,

Continuity and consistency makes our laws and the process credible. When law enforcement has special laws just for them not to have their mugshot published when they commit a crime, or mask a citizen’s name when they challenge a gun regulation with a lawsuit, it is no wonder folks have loss faith that we have a fair and level playing field. We do not. May the best lobbyist carve an exception out from the law, as it appears that money is no obstacle to buying a legislative exemption for every special interest who spends the money to make the playing field anything but level and fair.

Those in favor of raising the age to purchase guns should consider this tidbit of factual information before they decide this will curb the actions of recent tragedies. Not one of the underage shooters purchased the gun.

What about 18 ,19, and 20 year olds that are in the military, and are not allowed to purchase their own rifles, for hunting or target practice? People that have mental issues, or felons should be checked out, but law abiding citizens should not be restricted per 2nd amendment.
