This was and is a tragedy for everyone, including the 80 year old lady. This accident was caused by a car stopped in the road, a young man didn't see it and rear ended it. It was knocked into another car. Now we have three disabled vehicles blocking the road. An eighty year old lady doesn't see it and also hits the stopped vehicles in the road. Same scenario as the first accident. But since the lady was 80 years old, let's all blame her. She is a tragic victim also.

@Donna Bell. So sorry for all you have been through and the families involved in this terrible accident. It is reassuring to know that God's orignal plan was for human to live perfect life eternally here on the earth but, because of human rebellion, it was cut short. Thanks to Jesus randsom sacrifice, He made that prospect possible again for us in the future. In the meantime, we try our best to make it through life's trials , as Ecclesiaste 9:11 point out:"Time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all" and to do so we can turn to "the God of all comfort" (2Cor 1:3-6).

After a heart attack, two rounds with cancer - the first deemed terminal by doctors - then losing my husband of 40 years very unexpectedly, this is what I’ve learned; All things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.

How could any good possibly come from this heartbreak? How could any good come from my grandson and I walking up to my husband’s truck on December 5, 2011 and finding him dead behind the wheel when he didn’t come home after deer hunting? Just a few months after I finished chemo? I was bald. I was expected to die. He was healthy,

When we had his funeral, I told the preachers not to lament him, I knew where he was. I told them to use his funeral to reach the lost. Three people were saved that day, when the preacher gave an altar call at a funeral.

Good comes from everything we have to face in this life. Always. My cancer gave me a source of income, disability allowed me to live without financial distress, for we had many bills to pay. Good came from my husband’s death because everyone knew if a vibrant healthy man like him could die that quickly, they’d better be making preparations for the hereafter. Good came from my incredible survival, because God intends me to use my testimony to reach others. Even my oncologist, a very educated and respected scientist, calls it Devine Intervention. I shouldn’t be alive, but I am. These two people shouldn’t have died, but they did.

No. The 80 year old shouldn’t have been driving at night. I’m 60 and I’ve already stopped driving at night because I can’t see where I’m going. No, these two young people shouldn’t have died, the way we see it.

It was all according to God’s plan though, and all we can do is pray for the loved ones they left behind. Pray that God will give them the peace that passes all understanding. He will carry them through this deep, dark valley.

Some good will come of it... and those that loved them? Make their deaths count. Let them demonstrate how quickly life can come to an end. And be assured of seeing them again...

With some of the blinding bright headlights vehicles use these days it can be easy to not see someone.
I was turning left onto 9 Mile Rd west bound from the rear exit of the Pine Forest Rd Wal-Mart the other day and there were two vehicles headed eastbound. The first vehicle had old and dim headlights the vehicle behind it had blinding bright headlights. I came really close to pulling out into the path of the vehicle with the older headlights because of the newer very bright headlights in the vehicle behind it were overpowering.
I don't know that oncoming traffic headlights caused the visual problem for this 80 year old driver, but it would not be a surprise if that were the case.

Blessed Be to the ones fighting for their life and the families this happened to.. all this talk of older folks driving, yes I agree some shouldn't be on the road.. but there are some that drive better than the younger folks.. many younger ones are too busy with phones, dashboards, and getting to their place in record time that they don't pay attention to what is going on around them.. in fact, most of is nowadays dont.. such a shame for the lives taken.. maybe it will change one day
