I had to hit a baby deer to keep from hitting the herd. I cried all the way to church, at church and all the way home. I love animals. Was not crying over more car repair. I do think they are attracted to the headlights though, or are just confused by them. Maybe they are like UFOs to deer. In daylight have seen deer stand just back at the edge of the tree line and when vehicles approach they bolt across the road in front. Almost like some sort of nutty game they play with human drivers, like squirrels in the road and that car insurance advertisement. Glad the lady is okay and wonder if the deer went to someplace it can be used for feeding other critters? We are usually ran over, but it sounds like Auburn and Bambi evened the score this year. I am thankful that the driver is ok, and hope insurance will take care of her car.......hope the insurance man is not a Florida fan, but that is the risk you take when you drive with plates which support your team, and you should be aware that most deer are Auburn fans who would give their life for the team. I would swear those deer are attracted to headlights. Try watching for eyes and give them the right of way .
