This casino has given more in 8ish years than the lottery has given in 20+. I agree with Grand Locust on tourist money going to other gulf coast areas. Gambling is prevelant on this area whether it be lotto, the dog track or a bingo hall. No where in the definition of gambling does it use casino as an adjective. Get rid of the lottery and build a casino.

So millions of tourist dollars will migrate to Biloxi, and the panhandle gets the shaft while Dade as usual gets what they want. How does a tourist in South Florida travel to Biloxi…….they do not, so why restrict the Pensacola native Americans to expand their operations to allow the same as Dade? A casino at the old poop plant across from Maritime would draw tourist dollars from the Alabama beaches and reverse the trend for visitors to spend dollars in other states. A multi story parking garage like the one for the Mobile cruise center combined with a full casino operation could be a huge economic generator. Politics is all about getting paid to be a shill for special interests while the citizen of this state get the shaft. Monopoly for some gives politicians a thick wallet.
