@Stumpknocker, I am not sure why you addressed me in your post. The subject being discussed is people that work beside the roadways being struck by vehicles. Of course there are more Law Enforcement Officers killed every year in the line of duty than Tow Truck Operators. I was citing an article from the fb page, ” Wall of The Fallen” in which it refers to Tow Truck Operators killed on the beside the highway, not by guns, knives or by Felons intentionally killing them in whatever way.

The worker killed was our good friend. He and his wife hadn’t been in Florida a year.
His wife is lost with out him. She needs prayers!!!!! Our hearts and prayers are with her.

In the line of duty for law enforcement 2016, 143 deaths
2017, 128 death, alomost half of these numbers are officers gunned down. There is a web site Officer Down Memorial Page, sign up so every time one dies you get an alert on your phone, I think it will make most Americans sick to read the story and learn what a sacrifice these officers make every day and the ones left behind. When at war you have a idea of who or what wants to eliminate you, police officers don’t have that advantage and had to play by much stricter rules of engagement.

Sending prayers out to all involved. This also makes me sick to my stomach and saddens my heart. Although we don’t know all the details and can only speculate there are many different reasons why this accident may have occurred. My first thought was possibly Ms. Odom suffered a medical condition. Also I don’t understand why people need to be told over and over again. Maybe drivers education should be tougher and refresher courses made mandatory. I believe over time people forget the rules of the road. We need a special team of law enforcement out there enforcing these rules, there is a lot of ticketing money to be made out there. My biggest pet peeve is seeing driving in inclement weather with no headlights on. In my short fifteen minute commute I experience one to three near misses nearly every day and that’s just way too much. Please remember driving is a privilege that can be taken away.

He was a good man! Only been with us a few months , we’re all like family , and its hard on all of us to see this happen! Rip bro!
