Why would a proficient user of firearms who happens to be a teacher be any more dangerous if they carried a weapon on their person while at school working? They might have a stressful day and snap? They might get mad at a student and shoot them? Give me a break. If they've gained proficiency with the firearm, they've also been taught when to use it and when to leave it alone, especially if it might mean the end of a career or prison time. Perhaps the number of years the firearm was used "On the job" could be considered as well to gauge the judgment level of the person wanting to carry. Many teachers are retired military, prior military or law enforcement and are well trained in the use of firearms. If one of them completes whatever training the county requires to carry in school, then let them do it. I doubt anyone could be ordered to do it if they didn't wish to. More concealed weapons in a "gun free zone" by qualified people will seriously reduce deaths in these shooting incidents if not slow down the shooting incidents altogether.
