Is there a way to determine the exact distance on the track. I’d like to walk a 5k.

What a great new place to walk. It is adjacent to the escambia county master gardner demonstration gardens which is a great bonus. Track does have new lighting along the 2 linked paths but the park “rules” indicate the hours open as “sunrise to sunset”. There are resting benches along the two loops. If you walk the smaller south loop 4 times and the much nicer north loop 3 times you will have covered a little over 2 miles. No animals permitted. Not crowded at all.Its a little known gem in the area.Plenty of parking,but no garbage receptacles, restrooms or water.Check it out!

My wife and I walked it the other morning and it seems to be about 3/4 mile total distance.

It looks like biking is allowed. I believe that small children with parents supervising, like the one in the picture, would be fine on the track with other walkers/joggers. Large bikes might be problematic, though.

Is bike riding allowed ? It would be nice to have a place without worrying about getting hit.

Are there details…such as how much distance does the track cover? Are there certain hours it’s available…lighting for those who walk in the evening?

Outstanding! This is a much needed improvement up this way. It’s not like in the 80s when one could walk or bike all over the Kingsfield/297 circle (as I used to call it) without having to wind up as roadkill.
I’ll have to hit the track to walk a couple/few miles a day.
