Northbound continues to use the current ramp with merge lanes. I don't understand why the old cable system instead of the new polearm system was used for the lights. You can bet that these will be replaced with that system soon. Not that I am a fan of those either. If only we could get politicians to use the carrot/stick contract method on road contracts. Penalties for being late and bonuses for finishing early. It works other places and it is surprising how fast the work is done if they have a real incentive to finish the job instead of delay for as long as possible. This is only for south bound traffic. The photo shows the Southbound exit & light (two left turn lanes?). As soon as you get off the exit, the Northbound lane splits off to the right, & appears to be a merge, & no traffic light for Northbound, so I don't see a problem for semi truckers.
