Good Ol' Fla Legislature, Governor and Assorted Others.

Y'all pluff up your chests and say BIG Money going to "the Schools" then that amount is Never Enough to fully implement or accomplish the end goals demanded by law.
That's bad enough but then along come the Legislative Pets, Charter and Private Schools, that feed from the Public School trough and they demand more every time.

MILLIONS of tax payer dollars are Required to make sure our kids are Safe yet our elected officials have never come close to meeting the funding requirements to fully put things into place.

65 million funding for 3,500 schools. $18,571 per school for a resource officer? It is all smoke and mirrors. Throw some money at an emotional problem, and the politicians can get some cover from angry constituents. However, that money could easily help harden school envelopes immediately, and over about five years make our school envelopes safe and secure. When the front door of your house is wide open, your first action to secure your house should not be hiring a LEO to sit in your living room, and I do not know any Leo who cost $18,571 a year. Spend some money to lock that house, get security cameras, and alarms........and then make sure a perp can fear a firearm behind those locked doors. As usual the politicians throw some more money down the rabbit hole.
