I’m so sorry for the loss of loved ones to those who lost – I can’t imagine someone filing a law suit in the bridge collapse. It certainly won’t bring any of those loved ones back. You’d best get on your knees and pray-giving it all to the ONE who can ease your heartache and give you peace of mind. NOTHING will bring that loved one back. Oh yes, you might have lots of money, but every time you spend some of it, you might think of that loved one, but probably not! About gun control – most of the crimes committed are not from GUN OWNERS, mostly from crooks who have stolen or illegally bought that gun or guns. I think everyone who buys a gun should be at least 21 years of age, have NO record with law enforcement. There is always going to be bad folks, have been every since Adam & Eve committed their sin.

Bewildered : Agree with your thoughts on our sue-happy society. We also
need to stop ( those in charge ) from spending money on crazy
Projects simply because it’s free money ( other people’s). That
concrete foot bridge of only 175 ft was enormously expensive….
Did it really need a concrete roof over the concrete bridge ? We
Americans can’t walk 60 yards without a heavy concrete roof over
our heads ? Anybody thinking out there ?

This comment is not directly relevant to this article. National news are reporting that the first law suit in the bridge collapse has already been filed. Maybe i am an odd person but i cannot for the life of me underatand how any family who lost a loved one on Thursday concentrates on filing a law suit on Friday. This kind of greed does not speak well for the involved families and our country. “So what if my daughter, husbsnd, son got killed, how much money can i get out of it!?”. Only in America.
