Donny was a friend since grade school. We did a lot of things together back then. We used to watch baseball games on Saturday with a picture of all of the players spread out on the floor. We rode horseback on their Farm. We even used to have BB gun fights around the barn. Having attended the same Elementary School, we had recess together, wore the safety badges and stood watch at the crosswalk together. We had gymnasium together and were in the same classroom. Don was a lot of fun. A very smart guy with great common sense. Even in later life we used to talk on the telephone reminiscing about the times we spent together. There was no subject that we did not cover. Classmates, High School, politics, religion, the times we spent with David Luymes, playing baseball with Howard Hawks and David Harms, and LaRon Pool. He always wanted to play second base. I loved Donnie Anderson. He was a friend for life.
