>>>FLORIDA stations are paid as are SOME of ALABAMA’S.

Just to clarify on that comment. Century has a paid crew M-F 7-4. Outside those hours (including for this fire), the are all volunteer. McDavid, Walnut Hill and Molino are the other North Escambia stations that are all-volunteer. Cantonment is a paid crew 24/7.

THANK YOU!
I know they appreciate those two words, but do you realize exactly what they do? VOLUNTEER! They volunteer to get up at night, out of their warm comfortable beds or from watching their favorite TV show or playing with their children and grandchildren to put their lives on the line to save what belongs to you...
VOLUNTEER means NO PAY. Think about that the next time you see Flomaton, Friendship, McCall, Barnett Crossroads, Pineview and all of the other departments.
Remember to always support those men and women, boys and girls and thank them for everything they do.
PAID means exactly that they are paid for their services (FLORIDA stations are paid as are SOME of ALABAMA'S), it's their job. A pay check, benefits, vacation, sick time...but they choose their career to be able to help you, to save your belonging and family. Never disrespect a servant of the community.
GOD BLESS THEM ALL

Anybody know any updates on this? Looked like about 3 different fires. I would guess they would have had to been intentionally set being their location.

God bless our firefighters and first responders! We as a community often take y’all for granted and don’t realize that many of us wouldn’t be here without you! So thank you! And thanks to the families who say goodbye to you before every shift! You are all true heroes!
