I was blessed with a wonderful mother, a AWSOME adoptive dad, and my biological father who was a roll member of the creek indians.. All dead now. I GOT NOTHING!! Not either home/property, not a vehicle, nor1 red cent.. And as much as it hurt for other “family ” to take what was to be mine, I survived.so here is an idea: Kifs- grow up, get a job, and worry about building a life where u have something set aside for your own kids! Stay with 1 wife/husband, so there is no step parent for the kids to try to blame later. Or split it 4 ways and everybody be happy..Geez.. Quit acting like a bunch of vultures.

Everyone here seems to be assuming the wife is the kids’ mother – but from the situation, doesn’t it seem more likely that she is a second wife? I see a lot of contention between kids and step parents in later remarriage situations…

Greg left her on the retirement I believe with 0 percent. The kids was named at 33 percent a piece. So u say don’t honor a dead man’s wish. I think not.

This is such nonsense! My father had 2/3 going to his wife and 1/3 going to 3 children. All three of us gave the remaining third to our stepmother who had been so good to us after the death of our own mother. This is how things should be handled.
Love is the best thing in life. Greed is evil. I wonder what Greg Evers would say if he saw this now.

This is very sad, but I believe this should be a personal matter between the family and not played out for all to see in a public manner. Most posts on here are assuming that Evers’ wife (Lori Weems Evers) is also the mother to the children listed as beneficiaries and she may very well not be their mother.

To be honest, I do not see the issue here and find it hard to believe that this would take a judge more than thirty minutes to rule with the most recent beneficiaries named by Mr. Evers. For whatever reason, it appears that Mr. Evers SUBSEQUENTLY named his three children to receive a 1/3 interest in his retirement benefits. Therefore, the case is closed, pay out 1/3 of the retirement benefit to each of the children and move on down the road.
